Throughout my journey in the healthcare industry, I've achieved a remarkable array of milestones that have not only transformed the organizations I've worked with but have also set new industry standards. I've orchestrated successful mergers and acquisitions, paving the way for enhanced healthcare services. I take immense pride in being among the pioneering group that secured accreditation for an urgent care center in Alabama through the Urgent Care Association, where I also actively contributed as a committee member. My commitment to excellence led to the development of comprehensive policies, procedures, and standardization protocols across multiple clinics spanning various states. Moreover, I've introduced innovative services in the urgent care sector, strategically boosting revenue. Notably, I spearheaded our urgent care facility in Texas to become the first to secure a VA contract, further expanding our reach and impact in healthcare. These accomplishments reflect my unwavering dedication to driving positive change in the industry.
Work History
- Access Health Urgent Care: I spearheaded the launch of a medical practice startup, placing a strong emphasis on delivering exceptional patient care and fostering a culture of innovation. In my role, I provided critical oversight for credentialing and clinical privileging activities while introducing groundbreaking medical services like IV Therapy and ENT procedures.
- Stopwatch Urgent Care: Serving as the Chief Operating Officer, I directed the accreditation process that resulted in becoming the first accredited urgent care center in Alabama by the Urgent Care Association. In addition to credentialing and clinical privileging, I oversaw the implementation of new procedures and policies. Furthermore, our innovative approach included the introduction of telemedicine to enhance revenue streams and streamline operations.
- Urgent Care Medical Management Consultant: As a healthcare consultant, my primary focus revolved around strategic planning, organizational revitalization, and visionary growth for various healthcare clients. I played a pivotal role in achieving business growth, executing effective marketing strategies, and educating clients on healthcare reform.
- South Texas Urgent Care Center: As Director of Operations I successfully executed a medical practice startup, managing a team of over 25 employees and significantly increasing our monthly revenue. Through my leadership, we introduced EMR/PM implementation and streamlined workflow processes. Notably, we broke new ground by securing a prestigious contract with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, expanding access to healthcare for our esteemed veterans.
- Lewis S. Christian, MD, PA: In my role as Clinic Manager, I took charge of sales, business operations, and client service/retention. I led the transition to Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and ensured strict compliance with healthcare regulations.
